An advert in the JEP lead me to Fun 4Dogs, as I had just re-homed a 4 year old Labrador Rosy, and it seemed like the ideal place to get to know one another and help with basic manners. 2 years later we still attend classes – not because we need to, but because we both enjoy them.
I have a well socialised dog, who is a pleasure to walk on and off the lead, comes when called (99% of the time) and, remarkably for a lab, will leave food dropped on the floor. Thanks to Islana
I have built a strong bond with Rosy. I am very pleased that I decided to try it out to see if it suited us, it did, and still does.

We joined Fun4Dogs when our Shih-Tzu puppy Posy was 12 weeks old. The classes have helped her to learn how to meet and greet every conceivable shape, size and temperament dog.
This has been a great advantage, as dog etiquette is essential when taking your dog out and about. Our classes were always varied and fun, our cheeky puppy will now sit, stay, down, wait, come back to me on the beach and not not eat my socks when I ask her…
The Fun4Dogs puppy classes have been a great foundation for both Posy and I. We have found it an invaluable and rewarding experience.
We are looking forward to our next challenge, the adult dog class!

Islana, this young lady has been a complete inspiration to me; her help, advice and brilliant training have given me the most wonderful dog.
Thanks to Islana, Harry and I have an incredible partnership. He helps me around the house, keeps me fit, and makes every day very special. He's very conscientious, especially when working at the side of my wheelchair.
I am so very proud of my little working sheepdog who is now an assistance dog, agility dog and therapy dog .
All this was made possible by the work put in by Islana training us both to work together as a team.

Our one-year-old golden doodle, Caspar, was never a really naughty dog, but we weren't making the progress we wanted with recall and keeping him focused on us when he saw other dogs.
With Islana's help over six 30 minute one-to-one sessions, we've seen a huge improvement in his behaviour on and off the lead, even in busy dog places like the sand dunes where the distractions are plentiful.
Islana's methods are easy to understand and practice, and she is very good at explaining the psychology behind them.
We intend to continue with Fun 4 Dogs to perfect Caspar's recall behaviour, and we would unhesitatingly recommend him to anyone who needs help with training their dog.
Islana is absolutely brilliant with any dog. We took our lovely Jack Russell Milo to her for a bit of extra help with his recall and behaviour on the lead. After six sessions of training for Milo and me there has been such an improvement. Next step some classes with other dogs. Thank you Islana.
Fun 4 Dogs...fantastic!!! Islana McLaughlin Bell....WOW!!!.... what a gifted and talented young lady.!!!
Wilma is our dear little rescue Westie, who is very reactive when she sees other dogs. Islana is showing us how to use a positive approach, be consistent, be patient, use lots of praise, and use positive distractions and rewards,
Its fantastic how Islana explains how a dogs point of view, of what we think is a simple situation, may be stressful to a dog. I like the way that Islana is so approachable and supportive of us humans, building our confidence, as well as our dogs confidence..
Fun 4 Dogs has absolutely wonderful facilities......we have worked, with Islana's guidence, in one of their lovely green fields. Fun 4 Dogs....a very positive experience for dogs and humans.
Poppy and I have been going to Fun for Dogs classes for three years now. It is fun, very friendly and very informative. When I first started classes with Poppy I didn't think I would be still going three years later but we enjoy it and learning is an ongoing process. I also like Islana's method of training and she is always coming up with new ideas to keep the classes fresh.
